How is plywood made? Plywood is typically harvested from Birch, Cedar, Douglas Fir, Spruce, Pine, or a blend of tropical woods. The raw longs are then stripped of all bark and branches and cut into segments called blocks, which are then heated by water or steam to 194 degrees Fahrenheit. The wood that plywood is made out of comes from Russia and China. after the trees are cut down they take them to a factory for them to be where they are stripped heated and glued together and shipped out. And finally once you cant use it anymore it turns back to soil. Although plywood is bad for the environment it is still massively produced.
